Traditional Chinese medicine
In the treatment of acute and chronic pain, one approach on its own is often not sufficient to achieve the desired outcome. Frequently it is only the combined use of different procedures that produces a breakthrough for the patient.
Our complementary medical services include naturopathy, traditional Chinese medicine, anthroposophic medicine, homoeopathy, neural therapy and high tone therapy. Complementary medical treatments are covered by top-up insurance for complementary medicine (recognized by the EMR [Empirical Medical Register]).
Traditional Chinese medicine is a millennia-old form of medicine that is intended to restore and maintain a person’s harmony internally and in relation to their environment. Yin and yang are the expression of the dynamic balance. The division into body and mind that is found in Western medicine does not exist in traditional Chinese medicine. The patient is viewed holistically. On the basis of this approach, traditional Chinese medicine achieves good outcomes in many ailments such as sciatica, migraine, tennis elbow, neuralgia, allergic disorders such as hayfever and asthma, acute infections, gastrointestinal diseases or states of exhaustion of the autonomic nervous system.
Treatment methods in traditional Chinese medicine include acupuncture and moxibustion, ear acupuncture, laser acupuncture, cupping, Chinese medicines, acupoint massage and tuina (Chinese massage).
