Free eye screenings for diabetic patients
To mark International Diabetes Day, Swiss Visio centres are offering free screening for diabetic patients.
As part of International Diabetes Day on Monday 14 November 2022, Swiss Visio wants to raise awareness among diabetic patients of the importance of ophthalmic care.
People with diabetes are two to five times more likely to develop eye diseases (cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, etc.). The most serious eye problem is diabetic retinopathy. If left untreated, it can lead to a significant reduction in vision and even blindness. Because diabetic retinopathy can develop silently in its early stages, regular screening is vital.
That's why we're offering free screening tests at various centres from 14th to 18th November.
