Competences

Hip prosthetics and revision prosthetics:

  • Total hip prosthesis minimally invasive, anterior approach for hip osteoarthritis
  • Total hip prosthesis via all other lateral or trochanteric osteotomy approaches for hip osteoarthritis with complex deformities or previous operations
  • Revision / replacement of total hip prostheses (if possible also via a minimally invasive approach) for worn total hip prostheses, periprosthetic fractures, total hip prosthesis infections or other complications

Sports surgery:

  • Hip arthroscopy with labral surgery for hip impingement (femoroacetabular impingement)
  • Osteotomies (targeted bone cuts) for certain hip deformities or unhealed fractures
  • Tendon refixations for tendon tears (hip abductor tendons, hamstrings)

Cartilage and labrum surgery:

  • via the so-called surgical hip dislocation

Trauma surgery:

  • Osteosynthesis (surgical fracture treatment) for all fractures around the hip joint
