Renewal of the “ESMO : Designated Centres of Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care” accreditation
The Genolier Clinic has had its "ESMO Designated Centre of Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care" accreditation renewed for the period 2027–2029. Awarded by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), this accreditation recognises centres that integrate supportive and palliative care into oncological care from the moment of diagnosis, rather than only at the end of treatment.
First accredited in 2024, the Clinique de Genolier thus retains its place within an international network of over 250 centres spread across some 50 countries. Renewal is not automatic: each centre must demonstrate, against the programme’s thirteen criteria based on WHO recommendations, the progress made over the past three years in terms of organisation, training and research.
At Genolier, this integration is based on daily collaboration between medical oncology, radiation oncology, the Supportive Care Centre, psycho-oncology, nutrition, physiotherapy and social services, all working towards a common goal: symptom management and quality of life for patients and their loved ones at every stage of their journey.
This renewal recognises the commitment of the Clinic’s medical and nursing teams and confirms the importance placed on patient-centred oncology within the Swiss Medical Network.
