Merger of Medicosearch and OneDoc

According to a press release, the two Swiss providers OneDoc and Medicosearch, known for online appointment booking and digital patient access, have joined forces. OneDoc is taking over the Medicosearch platform in its entirety.

PROMs in orthopaedics

Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are a hot topic. These are standardised and validated questionnaires completed by patients to gather their subjective assessment of their health status. They can be used at various stages of the care pathway and serve to monitor progress towards recovery. Furthermore, they aim to improve communication between doctors and patients and can contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of care.

In our clinics, PROMs are already being implemented in a structured manner within orthopaedics. Data collection is currently taking place, particularly in the areas of hip and knee surgery. It will be gradually extended to other areas of orthopaedics as well as other specialist disciplines in the future.

The Well app is intended to serve as a contact point for patients and service providers with the aim of improving treatments and simplifying processes.
To achieve this, all players in the healthcare sector are invited to actively participate.
