Education

  • After completing his studies in Porto and earning his degree in medicine in 2009, Doctor Renato Gondor began specialising in neurosurgery and spine surgery at the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, where he worked as a Junior doctor and subsequently Chief resident from 2012 to 2021.
  • In 2016, he left to complete two years of additional training at the Hôpital de l’île in Bern, where he deepened his expertise in microsurgery and spine surgery, earning an FMH certification in neurosurgery.
  • Following one year in Fribourg as Chief resident in the spine surgery team, he made his way back to the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève in 2019, working mainly in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery, while further enhancing his skills in microneurosurgery, and carrying out teaching and research tasks.
