Osteopathy

Osteopathy is designed for patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, and also offers specialised care for pregnant women, taking both a structural and a functional approach.

After a structured and needs-oriented exploration of the body, the osteopath treats connective tissue lesions through joint, vertebral, visceral and cranial manipulations to restore balance to the area and prevent future lesions.

When this tissue is affected, its circulatory condition is slowed down and its mechanical qualities are impaired. This can be seen by changes in density and sensitivity, which the osteopath looks for during his or her examination. The so-called structural lesions are reversible and must be treated to restore the tissue to its optimal quality for the well-being of the patient.

Occupational therapist

At Clinique de Genolier, occupational therapy is for adults with motor and/or cognitive problems as well as for patients suffering from chronic pain. Occupational therapy sessions can be held in your room, in the occupational therapy office (Nescens building, 1st floor), at home or at work.

Dieticians

The dieticians at Clinique de Genolier are responsible for the nutritional monitoring of patients admitted to hospital and for passing on information when they are discharged. On a day-to-day basis, they offer consultations and follow-up to patients in all departments at the clinic, including outpatient oncology and digestive surgery. They also provide outpatient care for eating disorders, obesity, malnutrition, diabetes, digestive diseases or metabolic disorders.

For inpatients, dieticians manage and monitor the meals served, and ensure that appropriate diets or patient-specific restrictions are adhered to.

They also run workshops, particularly for the Supportive Care Centre.
