Research

The Swiss Visio Network has had a clinical research centre since 2016, which enables trainee assistants and clinical leaders to take an active part in research programmes. This activity allows them to publish articles in specialised journals. Most of the research activities are done in collaboration with EPFL, the Glaucoma Research Center in San Diego, CA, USA, the University of Denver (Colorado) Research Center and ophthalmology related industries in Switzerland and internationally.

Training locations

Centre B Swiss Visio Montchoisi and Centre C Swiss Visio La Providence are specialised in the treatment of glaucoma and medical retina, but practice all major disciplines ofophthalmology, namely cataract, surgical retina, cornea, inflammatory diseases, neuro-ophthalmology, refractive surgery andstrabismus.


They also offer a contactology and orthoptic consultation, an ophthalmic and ophthalmic-surgical emergency service. In addition, all the doctors in the centres participate in the cantonal on-call service according to the programmes established by the umbrella associations.
