Christian Brand is the methodologist and statistician of the Swiss National Arthroplasty Registry SIRIS. He is also a member of the SIRIS Scientific Advisory Board and the SIRIS Expert Group. He works as a research fellow at the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM), University of Bern. Before he moved to Switzerland in 2018, he was affiliated with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) as an assistant professor. He served as methodologist of the National Oesophago-Gastric Cancer Audit at the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (Royal College of Surgeons). Previous affiliations include the National Centre for Early Interventions in Munich, Germany, and the Personal Social Services Research Unit at the University of Manchester, where he spent several years in the field of old age mental health services research. Christian Brand originally trained in social statistics (PhD University of Manchester) before gravitating more and more to medical statistics.
Philippe Glasson studied medicine in Geneva and is a qualified specialist in internal medicine and nephrology. A member of various specialist medical organizations, he has been working for the Clinique de Genolier since 1984. At Swiss Medical Network he is Chairman of the Medical Coordination Group and delegate for the medical affairs.
Dirk Schmidt has been a physiotherapist and state-certified sports and gymnastics instructor since 1996.
He has been working at Schulthess Klinik since 2009, initially in the Spine and Sports Physiotherapy department and for the past two years in the Lower Extremities department. In 2018, he obtained a diploma in MDT (McKenzie Concept) and has been a certified Medical Athletic Coach since 2020.
His professional interests lie in the field of evidence-based physiotherapy / best practice.
