Sylviane is largely self-taught, having perfected her skills at the Ceruleum school in Lausanne and during numerous trips to study with various artists. She divides her time between her two studios in Lausanne and Les Mayens d'Arbaz in Valais.

She is interested in various techniques ranging from Roman mosaics to painting and the creation of mixed media works that could be described as plastic art with references to pop art or street art.
