Strengthen your body, improve your posture and regain your balance with Pilates.
Pilates is a gentle and comprehensive physical activity method developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates, an expert on the human body. Accessible to all, Pilates combines muscle strengthening, stretching and controlled breathing to improve posture, flexibility and deep muscle tone. This approach also promotes mind-body connection and helps release accumulated tension, while strengthening balance and stability.
Practising Pilates regularly has many benefits:
Pilates is therefore ideal for those looking for a gentle but effective activity that strengthens the body while promoting general well-being.
Pilates sessions can be practised on the floor or on specialised equipment. Each class begins with a warm-up, followed by exercises that target the deep muscles and promote postural control. Breathing, concentration and fluidity of movement are essential to maximise the benefits.
For beginners, it is recommended to start with a private Pilates class to learn the basics before joining group classes. The sessions are supervised by Joëlle Munzinger, our therapist specialising in Pilates.
Pilates is suitable for all ages and all levels. Whether you are an experienced athlete, undergoing rehabilitation or simply looking for a gentle activity to improve your posture and well-being, Pilates can be incorporated into your routine. The exercises can be adapted to suit individual needs.
