VIVA & GP Day 2025: General practitioners at the heart of innovation in integrated care
The VIVA & GP Day 2025, held at the Bellevue Palace in Bern, brought together general practitioners, specialists and healthcare professionals to discuss a key topic: the future of integrated care.
The day began with presentations by Dr Philippe Glasson (Swiss Medical Network) and Esthelle le Gallic de Kerizouët (CEO of VIVA Health Switzerland), before Prof. Dr Christoph A. Meier (CMO of VIVA Health Switzerland) laid out the scientific and practical foundations of integrated care.
The conferences explored key topics:
- The advantages for general practitioners who join VIVA (Dr Alain Kenfak).
- The growing role of telemedicine in the management of chronic diseases (Dr Michael Schorn).
- The benefits of networking for mental health (Dr Denis Kenzin).
- New perspectives in diabetes care (Dr Rahel Sahli).
The afternoon highlighted innovative initiatives: Hospital@Home presented by Aurore Maggiotto, health management solutions by Isabel Vidinha, and the contribution of pharmacists (Camille Lanfranchi, Anne-Laure Pasteur) in the integrated model.
The conclusion, delivered by Prof. Dr Christoph A. Meier, emphasised the challenges of organisational change and the importance of preparing regions for the acculturation of integrated care.
VIVA & GP Day confirmed Swiss Medical Network's pioneering role: making organisational and medical innovation a lever for more effective, more coordinated and resolutely patient-centred medicine.
