Should I keep training or stop and seek treatment? This is the question many athletes ask themselves when faced with a problem that is as common as it is underreported: stress urinary incontinence. It is a condition that affects both professional athletes and amateurs, can compromise the quality of physical activity, and is still often endured in silence.

Yet this is not a condition to be ignored or accepted as inevitable. The causes vary, solutions exist, and, in most cases, it is possible to continue playing sports without compromise, provided the right steps are taken.
