Tio - A new medical center where you can have surgery and go home the same day

“You shouldn’t think of it as being in the hospital. You arrive, have the surgery, and then go home.” With these words, Manuela Androtti, a patient who recently underwent surgery on her right wrist and elbow, describes her experience at the new Centromedico Bellinzona Castello, the healthcare facility that opened in September 2025 and will welcome the public on Saturday, May 9, with a day dedicated to tours and exploring the facility.

Located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the historic center, the new Center occupies a 2,500-square-meter building that has been completely renovated and modernized over the past two years. It aims to become a leading facility for the Sopraceneri region, particularly thanks to a feature considered virtually unique in the region.
