Ticinonline - Healing with a Tibetan singing bowl? At the Sant'Anna Clinic, they're becoming increasingly convinced of its benefits
“They do not replace medical treatment, but they can help people cope better with their illness.” This is the principle behind the new Care and Support Centre opened at the Sant’Anna Clinic in Sorengo, thanks to a partnership with the Genolier Foundation.
“Last year we organised a gala dinner at the Hotel Splendid, raising over 25,000 francs specifically to make this project possible,” explains Antonio Sansossio, the Foundation’s representative in Ticino. “The activities are free for users.”
The programme includes acupuncture, yoga, Pilates, music therapy, art therapy and sound baths with Tibetan bells. The aim is to offer complementary support to patients, particularly those with cancer or chronic illnesses.
