Who is pelvic floor physiotherapy for?

Our pelvic floor physiotherapy is for women who have pelvic or urogenital issues.

It's especially recommended after giving birth or during menopause, which are two sensitive times for the pelvic floor.

• Monitoring during pregnancy
• Perineal rehabilitation after childbirth or surgery

• Treatment of urinary incontinence

Techniques used

• Active perineal rehabilitation: exercises to contract and relax the pelvic floor muscles, often combined with breathing or core strengthening techniques.
• Biofeedback: real-time visualisation of muscle activity to improve awareness and control of the perineum.
• Postural advice and lifestyle changes: to avoid pressure on the pelvic floor in everyday life.
• General strengthening exercises: particularly for the transverse abdominis muscle, to improve abdominal-perineal synergy.
