Her medical career began at the University of Lausanne, where she obtained her Swiss federal medical diploma in 1990. Before turning to ophthalmology, she built her surgical foundations at Saint-Loup Hospital, then furthered her knowledge in anaesthesiology at the CHUV (Lausanne University Hospital). She then joined the Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital in Lausanne, where she specialised in ophthalmology, and completed her training in oculoplastic surgery at the Adolphe de Rothschild Foundation Hospital in Paris.
Over several years at Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital, first as chief resident and then as associate physician, she was responsible for the oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery clinics, as well as the specialised clinic for ocular prostheses and anophthalmic sockets.
Since 2003, she has been practising at Grand-Pont Ophtalmologie in Lausanne.
