Training Course: “Practical Strategies for Rehabilitation in Parkinson's Disease”

Clinique Valmont is hosting a training session on rehabilitation for patients with Parkinson's disease on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026.

This training course provides a comprehensive update on Parkinson’s disease, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

Focused on the daily challenges faced by patients, it covers an understanding of symptoms, functional limitations, and disability, as well as current care principles based on the biopsychosocial model.

Through case studies, reflective analyses, sharing of experiences, and video materials, participants will discover scientifically validated tools and approaches to optimize support for people living with Parkinson’s disease.

Course Content: 

  • Updating knowledge about the disease
  • Understanding symptoms, functional limitations, and potential disability scenarios for patients
    • HAS Recommendations 2012–2014
    • Communication disorders in Parkinson’s patients and their daily consequences
    • Personalized care plan: how to transition from managing associated disorders and impairments to caring for a patient with a chronic condition (Bio-Psycho-Social model)?
    • Principles of care: Neuroplasticity – Concept of the “therapist-coach,” follow-up recommendations – updated toolkit available to rehabilitation specialists – reflective analyses, clinical case simulations.
    • Exchange of experiences based on an existing program combining BPS + ETP + scientifically validated American methods (LSVT Big)
  • Illustrations via patient videos filmed at the CRF in Quingey as part of a validated Parkinson’s ETP program
