Public Lecture: Joints in Focus – From Joint Longevity to High-Tech Joint Replacement
Thursday, 12 November 2026, 6:00–7:00 p.m.
Ortho am See Specialist Centre, Haus zur Pyramide
Klausstrasse 10, 8008 Zurich
How can we keep our joints healthy and mobile for as long as possible? And what options does modern orthopaedics offer when joint replacement becomes necessary?
Following the completion of its practice expansion, the Ortho am See Specialist Centre at Haus zur Pyramide invites you to a public lecture. The focus will be on maintaining long-term joint health, modern regenerative treatment approaches and advances in knee and shoulder replacement.
PD Dr. med. Andreas Oberholzer and Dr. med. Farah Selman will provide an accessible overview of current treatment options. They will explain which approaches may help preserve joint health, where further research is needed and how modern technologies are used in joint replacement surgery.
Lecture Topics

What role do exercise and nutrition play in joint health? What options are available with hyaluronic acid, PRP (platelet-rich plasma), peptide therapies and treatments using the body's own fat tissue? Which approaches are currently available, and which are still being researched?
PD Dr. med. Andreas Oberholzer
