The Swiss CardioVascularClinic (CVC) at Privatklinik Bethanien reached a medical milestone at the end of August: for the first time, a complex, extensive aortic aneurysm was successfully treated minimally invasively with a customised fenestrated aortic prosthesis. This procedure represents a significant development in the treatment of complex aortic diseases.
It marks an important step in the sustainable further development of cutting-edge medicine in the field of cardiovascular care. For patients, this means above all less stress, faster recovery and shorter hospital stays.
This successful procedure underlines the Swiss CardioVascularClinic's claim to carry out highly specialised cardiovascular treatments at Privatklinik Bethanien within the Swiss Medical Network. Regional partnerships make it possible to refer patients specifically for complex interventions and thus ensure high-quality care.
Swiss CVC's next priority project will be to prepare the establishment of a rhythmology division within the Swiss Medical Network. We will keep you informed of further progress and look forward to driving this development forward together with our partners.
We would like to congratulate Dr Erik Walter Holy, Dr Philipp Ghibu, Prof. Paul Robert Vogt, Dr Beat Hardmeier, Dr Florian Hardt, Madeleine Beyer and Irina Vedzizhev, who were involved in this success.
