The Swiss Visio Retina Research Centre: research dedicated to your eyesight

Millions of people around the world live with a retinal condition that gradually causes their vision to deteriorate. Clinical research plays a crucial role in tackling this challenge. This is the mission that the Swiss Visio Retina Research Centre (SVRRC) has set itself.

Our mission

Established as part of the Swiss Visio Network, the SVRRC aims to advance clinical research into retinal diseases — to improve early diagnosis and develop ever more effective treatments.

Our areas of expertise

  • Chronic retinal diseases: AMD, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular abnormalities
  • State-of-the-art ocular imaging, for a more accurate and earlier diagnosis
  • Patient-centred, integrative care, for a comprehensive and personalised approach
