100 days in office: In conversation with Valérie Mucedero
On 1 July, Valérie Mucedero took over as director of the Privatklinik Bethanien – today marks exactly 100 days in the role. During this time, she has got to know the clinic, its people and its culture very well. In this interview, she talks about her impressions, what has particularly impressed her and what issues she would like to tackle next.
Valérie, you have now been director of the Bethanien Private Clinic for 100 days. How do you look back on this initial period?
Valérie: The time has passed incredibly quickly. These have been intense, instructive and very enriching weeks. I have had the opportunity to meet many dedicated people, delve into exciting topics and feel how strongly the clinic is anchored in its culture and cohesion. Bethanien welcomed me with open arms, which made the start very pleasant.
What has particularly impressed or inspired you during these first 100 days?
Valérie: Definitely the passion and commitment of the employees – across all departments. Many talk about ‘family’ or ‘community’, and you really feel that in everyday life. The close cooperation between nursing, medical staff and administration is also something that impressed me and is one of Bethanien's great strengths.
What topics will be your focus in the coming months?
Valérie: We will continue to work on various strategic projects, including strengthening patient focus, interdisciplinary collaboration and our market positioning. At the same time, it is important to me that we continue to nurture our internal culture and team spirit, as these are the basis for long-term success.
What are your personal wishes for the next stage of your term of office?
Valérie: I hope that we will continue to engage in open dialogue with one another, share ideas and work together on the future of the clinic. If we maintain this team spirit and look ahead with curiosity and enthusiasm, we can achieve a great deal.
