Run4Charity at StraLugano: Rete Sant'Anna Teams Up for the Genolier Foundation
On Sunday, September 27, the Genolier Foundation was also represented at StraLugano. At the Run4Charity—a 3-kilometer race open to everyone—doctors and staff from the network’s clinics joined family and friends to form a true team alongside the Genolier Foundation, one of the charities selected this year by the event’s Charity Program.
With no rankings or times to meet, some ran, some walked, and others simply came to cheer on the participants. And every kilometer covered together turned into tangible support: proceeds from registration fees go to the Genolier Foundation, which supports patients with serious and chronic illnesses through personalized treatment plans and support programs within the Swiss Medical Network facilities.
This commitment already has a specific home in Ticino: the Supportive Care Center at Clinica Sant’Anna, recently inaugurated thanks to funds raised by the foundation during the Charity Night in November 2025. Many of the patients supported by the foundation are people whom doctors and staff at the Sant’Anna Network know and care for every day—a cause that is close to their hearts.
Before the start, athlete Ricky Petrucciani and the team of physical therapists from the Ars Medica Clinic led the participants through a warm-up suitable for everyone. Special thanks go to them.
The day demonstrated that team spirit doesn’t stop at the clinic’s doorstep.
