The new Science & Innovation Newsletter is here
The autumn 2025 issue of Science & Innovation shows how the Swiss Medical Network is shaping the future of healthcare. With state-of-the-art technologies, innovative therapies and strong partnerships, we are setting new standards for safety, precision and patient benefit.
Highlights of this issue:
- Minimally invasive aortic surgery: for the first time, the Swiss CardioVascularClinic (CVC) at Privatklinik Bethanien has treated a complex aortic aneurysm using a minimally invasive approach with a customised graft. The procedure reduces the burden on the patient, shortens hospital stays and speeds up recovery.
- Robot-assisted knee surgery: Thanks to the VELYS™ robotic system, knee prostheses can now be customised even more precisely to the patient's individual anatomy. This leads to better functional results and faster rehabilitation.
- Collaboration with Mayo Clinic Care Network: As a member of Mayo Clinic Care Network, the Swiss Medical Network uses world-leading knowledge to offer innovative diagnostics, personalised therapies and state-of-the-art protocols in Switzerland.
This issue of Science & Innovation highlights how interdisciplinary collaboration and technological advances are improving care for our patients.
